Upcoming High School Events

After a great weekend of Indoor Track & Field at the Birmingham Crossplex, there are still more championship events to come.

This Saturday, February 14th, the AHSAA Wrestling championships will take place at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville. You can catch the live stream for that on the NFHS Network. I’ll be out of town so I unfortunately won’t have live updates on AL Preps, but there will be another crew broadcasting, so check it out.

Starting on February 16th, we will be down to the final 16 teams in each classification for boy’s and girl’s basketball. There will be live coverage from the four regional locations: Dothan Civic Center, Alabama State, Jacksonville State, and Wallace State. I know Jerry Young and Aaron Daniel will be at Wallace State (and I will be too for the first day), and there will be other groups at each of the other arenas as well.

I’ll have updates from the 7A games at Wallace State, which will be the winners of:

Hoover vs. Sparkman
Hazel Green vs. Thompson

Tuscaloosa County vs. Sparkman
Hazel Green vs. Hoover

From there, each region will have a champion who will head on to the finals at the BJCC the next week.
