High School Predictions – Week 11

It’s the final week of the regular season, as we approach the first ever regular season week 11. Some people will call this week 10, and label the first week as “week 0” because of so few games being played. But I say if real games are played, then it’s a real week, and should be week 1.

Anyway…

Most playoff spots are decided, and there isn’t anyone in the Birmingham Metro area that hasn’t at least determined their playoff fate, but some schools, such as Gardendale, still have to break a tie to determine their seed.

Week 1: 1-4
Week 2: 7-4
Week 3: 8-3
Week 4: 9-2
Week 5: 7-4
Week 6: 5-4
Week 7: 8-4
Week 8: 11-0
Week 9: 8-2
Week 10: 8-2

Total: 72-29

I’ve picked 101 games, and gotten 72 right. So I’ll take over 70% right, not a bad pick-em. Haven’t missed more than 2 over the last three weeks.

This will be the last week of picks in this format. I’ll change things up for playoffs. I’ll most likely give my full prediction for the 5A, 6A, and 7A playoffs as that is about as far as my knowledge goes when it comes to actually knowing how the schools play. I’ll pick the bracket, and maybe pick games individually starting in the second round depending on how wrong I am in the first round.

If you want to see the brackets as of now, don’t forget to check them out. Here are the 7A Brackets, but just click the buttons at the top of the page to go to the appropriate one.

Also, one more thing to note this week: a good number of games are being played on Thursday. I’m not sure which schools have moved and which haven’t. I know of some that have, so if I don’t note that a game is on Thursday, that doesn’t mean it isn’t, I just didn’t know.
